Traveling this Christian journey will not be an easy one, in fact, Jesus warns us that we will experience difficulties in our lives. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer I have overcome the world.” “ These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. Yes, you might have failed a few tests or had a few bad days but in the end, it will all pay off. When you were in high school or college your teacher didn’t give you tests because they hated you, they gave you because they want to prepare you for the bigger exams that will come. James also said that it’s during those trials that we learn how to be patient, it’s God’s way of molding us into the men and women he needs us to be. But why? It all comes down to faith in those moments. In these verses, James is telling us that whenever we face trials or temptations that test our faith, we should embrace them and count them joy. “ My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.” ![]() So meditate on these words, invite peace into your life because if God said it shall yours. When everything in your life feels like it spiraling out of control, there is firm foundation in which we can find peace and that is Jehovah Shalom (The God of Peace). Bible verses about finding faith in your chaos This Promise that God gave to Joshua is also for Believers today, that while you are on going through your wilderness, have faith that he will go with you.Īnd even if our family fails us, our friends turn against us, He will never abandon us, for the Bible says He is going to be with us even until the end of our days, ( Matthew 28:20). This is a reminder to us of God’s promise to Joshua while he was leading the children of Israel to the Promised Land, after he had succeeded Moses. “ There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” And know this, you are stronger you think. God said the only person we should fear is Him because fearing him means trusting Him and trusting Him means knowing he is going to be there for us when we face difficult times. But as Believers, God is asking “Why are you afraid?” (Mark 4:40) He told us that if He is for us no one and nothing can be against us. And sometimes we end up running away from our problems or possibly taking them out in the worst ways possible. When trouble surrounds us, we are susceptible to feeling afraid and weak, especially when we are overwhelmed with emotions. “ Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” So remember, just “keep your head above the water” God is with you! He did not bring you this far to leave you. He promises that “when” not “if” we face fiery trials, he will deliver us, just as he did for the Israelites. However, Jesus was telling them and us that even during rough waters, He got us. In this verse the Israelites, having escaped bondage, came upon the Red sea, which for many of us, are the stumbling blocks we face. Sometimes as Christians we feel suffocated by the stress of life, which leaves us feeling like we are drowning alone. “ When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” So when you feel scared or alone remember He is Jehovah Shammah and even though He might not show up when we want Him to, He will always be right on time. The Bible declares than when mother and father have forsaken you the Lord will take you up. There will come a day when we realize that we cannot go through our trials alone, and that there is no better relationship than having one with God.
